United in Kindness and Diversity with International President, Dr. Jung-Yul Choi
Dear Lion,
You and I share the belief that we have the power to make a better future for all people. Because Lions have a passion for what’s possible. There may be challenges ahead of us, but there are opportunities too.
Let’s continue to deliver hope to our communities. Let’s continue to innovate and serve safely. Let’s continue to keep our eyes and hearts open to new opportunities to make a difference every day in people’s lives. Together, we can build a better future for our families, communities and the world we share.
Regards, Dr. Jung-Yul Choi International President
District and Club Community Impact Grant (DCG)
District and Club Community Grants have enabled clubs like yours to do more for their communities. In just over two years, more than 1,000 of these grants—totaling US$3.9 million dollars—have been used by Lions to make a significant impact in their communities.
Give your community the opportunity to get involved from home by getting creative. For more than 30 years, Lions clubs have given young people the chance to become our partners in peace and inspire the world through our International Peace Poster Contest.
Learn how your club can sponsor the Peace Poster Contest through a local school or youth group and engage your entire community through a virtual exhibition. Peace Poster Contest kits go on sale beginning on January 15, 2021. So visit the LCI Shop page to purchase your contest kit and start planning today.
The Impact of Your Kindness
Every one of your club’s projects is an important part of our enduring service. And when you report your service, you help us measure our global impact, support our clubs in new ways and bring attention to your service and the work of Lions everywhere.
Just like the work of the Lions of District 118R in Turkey, who served thousands of people this past October in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. Their story, “Be Our Guests,” is another example of how Lions like you are changing—and saving—lives. And remember that LCIF projects like these wouldn’t be possible without support from you.
